Red Ooze

the red pool
splayed across the table
engulfing all in its path
saturating with color
every object

a towel was tossed
upon the mass of ooze
as the red seeped
into every pore
of the fabric

it thickened
as the air
dried its moisture
little by little

dishes sat in the pool
captured in
the rectangular prison
of my making

there was no conclusion
to make
other than
I wasn’t supposed to drink
seven-eighths of that
tomato juice

7/8ths?   OK...now tell me where the other
1/8th went???

Being a little klutzy at times,  I relate
from moments past of this feel...and I am
so glad it wasn't something that a vampire
might aspire to......

Like this one VAS...goood and sneaky!!!

Thanks, Barry, yeah, good and sneaky is great as long as nobody gets hurt, yeah.

the other 1/8th? drank it to take my 6 pills

coffee's usually too hot to down those morning rituals

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

The red font, and how you wet (oops! I mean "set") it up, was very effective!

This fun piece was a joy to read!

BTW---Come on over and I'll pour you another glass of juice of tomato! hehe

(giggles in delight) I knew where this poem was going ever since the beginning! LOL! (kiss on cheek) That didn't have Tabasco in it, did it? I love this, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Virginia, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!
