Release of emotion
Frustrations muse
Palet of words
Souls paintbrush
Easel of sorrow and joy
Cacophany of voices upon
Soundless landscape
Vivid portrayal of
Morbid fascination
Imagry captured by
Imaginations periscope
Wounds heal on
Bloody canvas
Red ink bleeds as
Life's blood
Paper catches
Therapy of words
Better left unspoken
Written for posterity
Releasing strong emotion

Okay what is this doing just sitting here? This is wonderful, terrific. I love it. A great many words put together just right to express what it is we do.

Outstanding, Tammy.  I often write just to see what I'm thinking.  Sometimes it surprises me.  Thanks for posting this excellent free verse.  Freeing it is.

Beautiful free verse.

Writing down your emotions will often release the mind, at least that's working for me. I write everything down when I'm down and it gives me peace.

You go on girl, writing down beautiful free verses.

very nicely penned...

the red colour added to the effect of the words where you connect red ink and blood...

..."written for posterity"---and thank goodness it was!! This is an incredible piece of writing. You tell it like it is.....'and thems the facts folks!'

You have a wealth of wonderfully descriptive lines that could be the basis for future poems!

Have a great day Tammy!

Thanks again to all for your wonderful replies. I really thought I might get laughed out of the forum with this one
I don't do free verse much because I can never really tell if it's good or not, but as the poem states, it is my personal form of therapy, my way of releasing pent up emotions. I must admit though, you all should think about charging me...your lovely words of praise and encouragement bring a smile to my face and are better medicine than any shrink could dole out. Thanks again. You are all true friends of my heart.
And I'm broke....so don't take the charging comment seriously...
Tammy
