Of Magic things

The moon is high and whispers sigh
And wind pry’s the ear and eye.
The night has spread her somber wings
Enticing wed of magic things.

Fantasy on phantom lawns
Playing till the break of dawn
Dancing to the nights enslave
Hearing notes that never wave

Whirling in a lively round
Step to music’s haunting sound
Sweep into the clouds adrift
Honey suckles sweet the lift.

Making liquid of your mind
Peeling way the hard of rind
Floating in erotic truth
Wishes driven by your youth.

Lost within the puppet wires
All those puppets of desires

Oh wow Sy!
I saw the word 'magic' in the title and knew I would love it!
You always start my mornings off on the right foot, love.
Excellent write!

Ahhh Stinky..this is one of your writes that all I can do as I read is smile at your wile.
So many cleverly done lines of rhyme, each couplet laced with the next to create the mood and tone...and the images youve created with your words are the heart of this poem..I've said this many times before, but the impress is reborn with verses like that first one...You paint these wonderful images but you do it subtle and succinctly with just a few perfect words...
you dont have to use a lot of colors and descriptive, detail words..In 4 consise lines of meter you gave us the night..

The moon is high and whispers sigh
And wind prys the ear and eye.
The night has spread her somber wings
Enticing wed of magic things.

how poetically perfect is this line and image...

The night has spread her somber wings

and how cool is this line...

Honey suckles sweet the lift.

Me thinks me needs some honeysuckles in me tea

Thank you for the morning magic

"The moon is high and whispers sigh"---Whispers aren't the only things that are sighing!

You know, you look so much like the poet that you truly are, that when I first saw your photo, I called my daughter to come in and take a look. I asked her, doesn't he look like a poet?---and a real gentleman?. Oh, of course she concurred! That just goes to showya, a picture is worth a thousand words---and I feel privileged that I get to read yours!

Linda

Seymour darling heart, yet again I’m scampering in here late and tardy, do you miss me when my visits are a little erratic as they are right now. I’m so busy organising things for our visit there that I’ve barely got time to ummmmm sneeze. But I try to get in here for the refreshment of my soul,

Yet again this is perfect, you know I love this utterly utterly, as always the flow of line is exquisite it really is.  This really is an excellent piece from you darling heart I love it utterly utterly, This is so truly you and its wonderful. This hangs in the air like a note in a aria from Les Miserables, truly exquisite, as I said NO ONE does it like you.

Love and warm stuff
As always
Mushy

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the earthquake wind and fire

A bippity boppity boo
and a song of sing too
as wands are wave in air
with magic mystical flair
A bippity boppity boo

Our SY,  a magician too!
