So I am
naked laced
waiting in hallways
for leaves to turn
for weightless falling
and it would seem
to one like you
that feet first
into dampness
was not enough.

That the thick curl
of overgrowth
the twist of rooted sin
(life once, really)
the breath of moss
across the seams
of time
could never be found
in a half winter morning.

This solid earth
in tow now
my grazed eyes
in stain
insist on licking moist
every cracking leaf
half turned.

And I attempt tomorrow
in the lacing
swing feathered arms
around the base
and know
wait witness
to a change
that tends to strangle
to ever knot and sew
the smallest secrets in me.

Alicia

I could feel the weight of waiting ...the length it takes for one breath, too long and this: "insist on licking moist
every cracking leaf
half turned."

You always take me with you into such a deep place where your writing comes from, and I feel, even if I can't explain.

Alicia...
as always your words curl around me stronger than a passing wave.

Defoliation tends to bare all pretense. Enjoy this most colorful time of year and land oh so softly. While your writes are heavy you alight a sweet whisper.

Such simple complexity... with strength of image and feel... an honor to read.

~What a worn release from me, I know I've bled this way before,...so gosh, thank you folks for reading, feeling and touching the page on your way out. You're comments are appreciated. (and I have a good feeling that I'll be able to embrace what's coming with a whole lot more strength and open eye than last)(I see the beauty, feel the shawl of wind, gosh, hear the change and am awed,...the time just pulls me places regardless).
*Peace and warmth.

Heh Alicia, powerfully written. I am taking this one out to the porch to read a few more times.

I've found that there's never really a stitch that can stop the bleeding sometimes. . .

peace you. . .

Depth I tend to avoid...excellent.
