Between the Lines

And Still

I long to be in arms of love
to feel what words can't say.
I long to see the eyes that reach
and touch me in that way.
These simple thoughts can never tell,
can't speak my body's will.
I long, oh how I long to be
in arms around me, still.

I long to kiss those lips of thine
that hold in mystery,
the past of yours that overflows
to bring me close to thee.
I long each moment that I breathe
to share my last with you.
I long, oh how I long to be
so close, within your view.

I long forevers and a day
for wishes to come true.
I long for moments' never end
to always be with you.
At times these rising thoughts can swell
my heart and fill to brim.
I long, oh how long to be
in love, returned by him.

M

So heartfelt and lovely. Enjoyed. Chris

This is lovely in all it's longing. Wonderful write M~. I long for the same things and to the world it would seem I have them.
