          A Fire that Burns Thrice

What words can be said as balm?
Should they be apologies, empathy or condemnation?
On a morning that defies description,
some say that words are all we have.
For several thousand, who remain speechless,
remembering with loud voices of indignation, rage
are the expressions of angst -
a solution for Pi, when none exists.

Seldom has a world been so unified in sorrow.
The King has lost his first child
and although many countries nod with compassion,
they have been through it all before
and wonder why it took so long to reach Royalty.

Yet, those with copper souls assisted
and walked away with gilded hearts.
Announcers, while waiting vainly for terror
to leave their voice, recited a living horror movie.
In the later days of reflection,
we were a distorted mirror image.

          Three times that day
          on September 11th,
all of mankind went mad from
          the fire that burned thrice

(tears fall down my cheeks) Oh Jeff, I think we all know this so well, it was horrible and my heart goes out to all the families of the world with arms wide open embracing them with comfort and hope! (big hugggssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, this is powerfully heartfelt, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Jeff, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Jeff

We do see it again and then again, in the eyes of reflection, in the mirror that broke that day and changed the way we view even our souls. You write with a heavy weight in your pen.  Hugs!

I am speechless. You captured the horror well here. The memory will live in all of us forever. I was out on the road and the loss I felt was so deep and real it was hard to move on, slip out of the blackness, and start travelling again. I wanted more than anything to be close to my family at that time. This is an incredible write Jeff. Masterfully done.

Jeff,
You did a wonderful job of describing the communal loss and grief of these events.
Such love for humanity is the balm that we all need to heal. Thank you. ThisDiamond
