Constantly, constantly
Thoughts in my head
Voices speaking eternally
Cannot get away from
Thoughts in my head
Been such a long time
Since there was a truce
To the war in my mind
The raging of images
Somewhere lies the truth
Pain stricken, aching heart
Soul and body as one
Cannot separate the parts
Only to realize in times like this
After already come undone
Constantly, constantly
Feeling like some misfit
Eternally, eternally
Trying to quit,
Letting life live me
And not living it

Sorry I missed your debut at Passions.
Welcome!
I enjoyed this piece

.."Letting life live me and not living it..."

I know what that's like! Until we take control of the helm and plot a course---we'll just drift around aimlessly on the Sea of Life!

An interesting write, and internal battle..... Have you considered medication (just joking) loved the poem....was it about some specific dilemma?

Interloper, thanks for reading.

EA, I can't believe you picked out my favorite line from the poem. Thank you so much for thinking like I do...no, its a good thing.

Sherry, it is about a specific dilema, but I'm not telling. *S* Thank you.

This had a sense of urgency about it and I don't know if that's what you planned but if so, it worked

Now, you went and titled this with two of my favorite words, "somewhere" and "within"...now why hadn't I thought of a title with such drawing power?

And then, the poem.

Magic,

indeed!
