~* Play Rainbow Friend *~

~* I Know Sometimes You're Lonely *~

I know sometimes your lonely,
I wish I could live next door,
We could share most everything,
that’s just what friends are for.

So, call if ever you need me
I'll fly to be there by your side.
You know that there is nothing
that in me you can’t confide.

Imagine when you're lonely
that I am in front of you there,
to hold your hand tight in mine,
there's nothing we can't share.

Remember when you're happy
and you want to share that smile,
our laughter beckons an angel
that will dance with us a while.

Lean on me when you're angry
and life's tests you can't conceive.
We'll talk through it together,
until the hurt and anger leave.

Pretend I’m there with you to share
the secret dream you hide in your heart.
I promise to be right there to see you,
as you begin your fresh new start.

Whisper my name when you need me,
anytime, or anywhere ...
your name is written on my heart,
I am here but always with you there.

~ * ~

This I am going to put in my library to read again and again and again. Now I just need to find someone like this who lives nearby. A lovely poem. Enjoyed!

Now I wonder...

Did your muse write this for you, and borrow your pen?
Or did you write this for someone that you deem a friend?
Did you write this in the light of moon's sweet beam?
Or did you grasp a rainbow and extract it's silver sheen?
Did you think that you posted this here for poets' eyes?
Or did your muse leave it here under a mysterious guise?
Whatever the response, please know it's true
it's a gift given by the cast of heart in blue...

Sharon, this is really beautiful. A really caring friendship letter, if ever I saw one.
Did I ever tell you how much I enjoy your poetry? And did I ever tell you how much I admire you, the person, as well as you, the poet?

Sharon, this is so thoughtfully written and poignant. If I ever get lonely or sad will you come and be with me in Boston?

Sharon, this just has to touch the heart of anyone who is or has, or once had a close friend. Lovely, lovely. Library bound. Chris

The last verse said it all...
Your poem is deeply moving and consoling,
and conveys the true meaning of friendship.
You and  your friend are lucky to have one another...

You are all so precious and each of you surely is a friend to someone, so tell them today how important they are, I wanted each of you to know that somewhere out there is a friend who truly does care.  Thanks so much for your lovely comments on this one, as it WAS for a special lady and I think she knew it was for her.

Perhaps, dear Lady, she knew, he knew, but the magic of this poem is that you shared it with the world!  Look at the hearts touched...

and look at the lives you have changed by being you...
