In Your Poetic Mind

0 posted 2002-09-04 10:15 AM

If water were still--
     if water were clearer
would you then see
    reflections
of stones
in   creeks--
painted by sand,
    lapping ripples,
or the mirror from which
it flowed--
serene images       swimming
in their flesh
melting through
iridescent cloud    structure, for a fraction
of time
--
Laying amidst silence
on  edges           of reality

I touch the water   crying
        wondering, if the skies open
would I see myself?
would I notice    that sometimes beauty
is the rain on my shoulders?

Fear is naming love, being scared to fall through
life learning nothing

         could it be that complex
or is it that simple?

Somewhere between  clouds
and mountains--
I’ve lost the hue
that describes
how ships sail  mighty oceans     on their voyage

time becomes music
love becomes the dance

does this compel the mystery?
of the gentle slide

        beneath his skin

The ocean looks like a thousand diamonds strewn across a blue blanket
I lean against the wind pretend I am weightless and in this moment I am happy

A slide into arms of love, into light of time.

Thank you.

(smiles) Oh Lauren, I just love how your gorgeous poetry always "reflects", your words always remind me of a Rene Magritte painting and how the sky reflects on the lake water! (kiss on cheek) Yes, love will always be the dance and will dance with time! This is wonderful, sweet friend, I love it, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Lauren, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Yes that is exactly what fear is. Your poetry is exquisite as always.

I love the images, and the trickle of thoughts that flow endlessly from you.
I tend to see a part of my reflection in your poetry.

This is just so soothing and peaceful
and so very pretty Lauren....
