Softly swaying to and fro,
Sing their soulful songs

I really love this haiku, and am keeping it in my library

I have one small suggestion though: you'll find that you'll get more replies if your title is not in caps (some people consider this shouting, and thus, deem it as being improper computer etiquette).  I'm sure that in your case, this is merely by accident

Take care,
Melissa~

Don't you just love Haiku's? The one true instance where less is more and this is particularly good

Melissa---I consider it quite an honour when other poets, such as yourself, choose to put my work in their library.

As to your remark regarding my titles being in caps, you're absolutely right, I would not want to purposely have "poor computer etiquette". Thank you for pointing this out to me. I just recently got online and everything is new to me. I'm learning to fly by the seat of my pants. My future postings will be in lower case!

And please, anyone reading this, I am always open for suggestions on just about anything!

Earth Angel,

Whispering willows,
Softly swaying to and fro,
Sing their soulful songs

'Willows caress
in the breeze my thoughts
soft my words at rest...'

thank you,

You have captured the essence of the willow. To say more would be superlative.

BC---They often say "less" is more, but your reply proves that sometimes "more" is "more".

Noah---"...you sway with such spirit with your words"----What an incredibly poetic reply.

You know, it is rather embarassing to me that I had been making an etiquette faux pas with my titles in CAPS. I've always been one to mind my manners----and my dear departed grandmother can attest to that. (Right Grandma?)

well I had to come in because they were willows and they were whispering. but then again, whispering is a contrast to shouting and some do see all caps as that. If you go into to the edit mode within 24 hours of posting you can fix it. The edit icon is just to right of the envelope.

VAS---Thank you for the advice. I'm new to the internet and all the do's and don'ts etc.

Honeybee was kind enough to explain to me about the capitals, and I have been posting titles in mixed case since; however, the previous upper case titles keep being bumped up (mind you, I'm not complaining!).

I always value your advice. Thank you!

Linda
