                Internal Rain

An inlaid fire pillages and ravishes
Guides the soul to the river Styx.
Self lambasting, bastardizes the core -
A shiny penny turned dull from use.

     Unebbing guilt washes, never cleansing
But dampening & circumscribing all good intentions.
Self apology never accepted, reflux denied.
     An effusion of unanswerable queries.

One's wealth measured in layers of doubt-
out of reach, the olive branch beckons.
When will the pacification of worth
         sew
          me
           a
        raincoat?

When...

When your heart begins to love it's
beholder....

When you forgive the giver...

For in your heart, your soul,   a man...
good...great...lives...and forgives...

Excellent write Jeff,  thank you...

(sigh) Wow, oh my gosh, your words always amaze me, your wisdom is far beyond your years, this remninded me of the Greek myth of Tantalus, who was punished for a crime of theft and for his punishment he always tried reaching for that olive branch but every time he reached it always drew away from him forever! (big hugggsssss) I guess I see forgiveness this way, if one cannot be so hard on oneself and sincerely forgive it'll always be back to Step 1 but otherwise we will finally be gifted! (sigh) This is marvelous, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Jeff, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Jeff

Self, say I...listen to my soul...it is full of courage with a question, yet nagged by self doubt...yet, all around the white sheats of light play in the breeze.  The quest is too hard, the breeze says...like a rock stubbed to toe.  You are a good person..I see it so simply yet so profoundly in your words.

Can't believe I missed this on the first go through. You are a caring soul Jeff. I can see that in your writing, and in your face. It's written in your smile and in your eyes. Wonderful write!

Now if I could just burn this on to my cd I would be singing along, but since I can't
could you play that song again please..
How fitting these words are Jeff....
each and every verse....
