Pet Peeve

butter in the jelly jar
from someone’s errant spoon
waiting for the lunch bell
a minute past noon

sour milk in the carton
before it’s sell date’s come
skinny people dieting
now that is down right dumb!

refrigerator dirty
when all I’ve put has been clean
bathroom scale that’s heavy
when my stomach’s ‘bout to scream

doors that are locked
when the key’s inside the house
drips from the universe
on a favorite blouse

drivers who must be in front
though their loads are aw’fly high
so I can’t see what’s coming
no matter how I  try

Clothes that are spaghetti magnets
seeking all around the world
finding someone’s table
where a fork has sketti curled.

but I guess my biggest peeve of all
is when someone says, “Name just one.”
How can that make any sense,
how can it be fun?

a challenge at the Meadow to write about 'A' pet peeve have you ever noticed that an anagram of smile is slime? LOL

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

(smiles) I know Mutington's Meadow, me and Joyce O'Neal used to talk all the time on that board, I am thinking of returning there soon after my long absense! (giggles in delight) Yep, I'd say to ask is indeed a pet pieve too when you just want to let it be, I love it, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Virginia, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
