Garden of Broken Hearts
By Paul Wilson

What do I have to show
for all the years we shared
How was I to know
that you never really cared

A box on the bed
full of pictures and letters I’ve read
I wish I could stop this pounding in my head
since you left…words un-said

My heart is shattered
a million pieces or more
You were all that ever mattered
my ring now lying on the floor

A broken heart is all I have to show
For all the years we did share
A garden where love again will never grow
with this loneliness nothing can compare

Tomorrow another day starts
without you I will try to get through
Look for me in the garden of broken hearts
for I will always love you

Paul,
I can't imagine the pain. Courage to you.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Larry...I guess I should have explained.
The pain and heartbreak I write about here
is not real,my mind just sort of drifted off in this direction tonight. Sorry for the confussion. Thanks for reading and take care...Paul

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Paul, I'm so happy this doesn't relate to your own feelings though my heart goes out to so many who truly feel this way as it saddens me too to know this feeling! (sad sigh) This is powerfully heartfelt, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Paul, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Paul, Sadly your pain comes screaming through in this write. I am so terribly sorry.

there is a rose worth all the pain."

Paul---I, like you, often write stories that are not from personal experience. I'm glad this poem wasn't based on one of yours! You really drew me into the mood of this write.

Noah... Thank you kindly for reading. I too am glad this was not an actual experience...Paul

Marge...Thank you so much for your kind words. everyday people do go through this sad feeling, I'm sorry you didn't get the butterfly...Paul

Enchantress...I hope I didn't pull to hard at those heart strings. Thanks for the kind reply...Paul

Seymour...Thank you sir. Glad you enjoyed...Paul

Marti...Thank you for your concern and taking time to read...Paul
I apologize for any grief I may have caused you, this was not an actual situation in my life. I sometimes write about situations that other people might be in and I try to put myself in their shoes and how I think they might feel.

Chris...Thank you for reading, glad you enjoyed...Paul

White Rose...I'm sorry you took this as being real, I am not going through this experience. My mind just sort of got hung up on this subject last night and I decided to write about it and how someone in this situation might feel. Thank you for reading and your concern...Paul

ecrivan...Glad you enjoyed. I don't anticipate being in this situation, but not many people do.Thank you for reading...Paul

Linda...Thank you very much for reading. Glad to hear that someone else does like I do, I thought that maybe I was off in the head or something LOL...Paul

Lyra...Sorry for the confussion. I guess I better start putting a warning label on my poems. "Warning This may or may not be the whole truth"LOL...Paul

Paul, I'm so glad this is not about you! I guess we all get so involved in each other's lives that if we read a sad poem, we overreact!

Thanks for clarifying and I like your idea to Lyra about using a warning label!!!

We need to have Suetang get those labels also.

Hugs....
