I do not know how to write
the color of your changing eyes
with pronounced consistency
the lyric proving artistry
of words you sing
in chant to me--
the colors of the crown
bursting
into halo right above
the thorns in forehead
dripping blood,
turned crystaline
of pain's amend
thorns in head
of path
~ascend~
sweating tears of blood
sincere
transformation--
pain to love.

Down your cheek
and kissed by me--
just one moment's
alchemy--

don't they taste of diamonds now?

Interesting imagery here.
Tears of blood becoming tears of love....becoming as priceless as diamonds.
"sweating tears of blood
sincere
transformation--pain to love"

Your poetry is of diamonds.....
I have always said when you are well inspired..you write like few ever hope to.

In the space between now and then
I lost the fire, lost a friend
and Ill never be the same again
Still, I believe in the innocence
we gave away.

diamonds, yes
you are crystalline
faceted dance
at the heart
of a
mountain
the pulse
of
earth

Does this mean you're using literary kicks in the butt? (you, only, will understand what th' heck that meant)

By the way, one time I wrote a poem where one of the lines was "Does it taste like diamonds or blood?"

We're close.

Tears of diamonds.... wow, Karen...
Those are mighty expensive tears, y'know...
So I hope you don't shed them often...
The poem is lovely...
