The world is fading...

My life is in my own hands

Along with the life of another

My decision is made...

The Final Chapter is writen, my life passing by...

A world desroyed and another saved.

My life lost, the others also...

Final Chapter of my life, written, and the end...

This is my first peice of poetry, based on the

storyline of a story i'm writing. Tell me what you

think!

Well, is it poetry, or is it prose?
Keep writing and developing your storyline, and post the rough drafts in Prose for some critiquing.
How is Alaska surviving without me? LOL, I just left there this summer. Say hello to the northern lights for me this winter.

Lonely Always... I've always tried to write about true life experiences or I try to put myself in a different situation and try to write about how I would feel if this situation was true. Skip the double spacing and try to make your words flow like smooth wine. I'm still trying to do this.
It really takes practice & work to get it right. Check out the Poetry Workshop. Once a month we have an assignment to do & it is really fun.I have only been here 3 months & I feel like I have improved in my writting already. You will find many friends here and they will all help you.
Thanks for sharing...Paul

It is poetry, but it might sound like prose because it has a type of storyline. I'm going to post the prose for this(War of Darien) a little later this week.

Lonely Always,
this has the beginnings of being a very in depth piece, I also agree that the double spacing is distracting and if you could have placed some space between your work and your comment it may have flowed more easily. However it is a good start

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown
