Listening to every heart

Pepper’s Place

Did I really need to bring the tins
of tidbit delight to see you through the night
when through the jungle shadows green
you found enough to keep you lean
                             dining upon swift rodents fair
                                                                        keeping grasshoppers all aware
chasing butterflies in sun’s light
                              daring moonbeams and starry nights
keeping my soul within your stare

Pepper’s place
among the boards of swift decline
                                                                         Pepper’s heart                  held by mine

Sunshine - There is a kitten that runs in and out of my back door. He's looking just like this one. And does all you have said. Very playful...

Such is the joy of a young creature, given
to us that our memories might hold the joy
of the moments shared....  Your words show
this,  and the pic simply goes perfectly
with them...

Kittys are so cute, Karilea... but I really hate it when they chase me around and try to steal my tail...
You wrote this so lovingly that this chipmunk is losing her fear of those kitties.

This looks like a cat I once owned named Auguste.  Yep, named it after myself. LOL!  I have an indoor cat now that sleeps on my chest every night.  Her name is Slippie and she's a little monster.  I had to shave my beard because I'd wake up in the middle of the night and she'd be chewing on it.  ICK!

Pepper is fortunate to be loved by the "Salt" of the earth!

P.S. I posted replies to your email in my poem "A PILLAR OF STRENGTH". Thanx!

(smiles) Awwwwwww, I love kittens so so much, I can't help but giggle when they play with their balls of yarn or chase butterflies and mice! (sigh) This is a beautiful adorable poem and your kitten looks beautiful in the picture, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Karilea, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Karilea, I am not especially a cat person but this little kitty is very cute. I like the stripes on the front legs.

I like your poem too and laughed thinking about him/her chasing the butterflies.

Hugs, Marti
