I wish so much that I could post this the way I have it in my file. I have used the "San Francisco" font that makes the words look like they are being rocked and broken in an earthquake. I used that font until I came to the word "whole" in the body of the poem. Then I used "A Garamond Bold Italic" to show the serenity of becoming whole again.

That I Might Become Whole Again

here
in this reclamation barrel
beside the kiln
called life
I lie
in shambles
broken
awaiting the rain
the lovely, loving rain
from You, Sweet Lord.

Rain on me,
oh, Maker,
reign o’er me
forever,
that I might
become

whole again,
molded
as clay
within Your loving,
awesome hands.

Thanks, Martie for the inspiration
and for permission to go forward with it.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Virginia,

Me thinks you are in that calm,  that peace
that one seeks in life...  And,  if not, I
have no doubt that you will be...

Oh very beautiful, Virginia...
even without the fonts...the feelings come through.

Not only are you a poet, but you must  surely be an artist as well.

Words can paint a picture, but the way they are placed on the canvas (paper) paints a picture as well....I can visualize the painted canvass you have at home.

You are the consumate artiste!
