As I listen to Nakai, Nawang, Clipman, and Eaton
"In a Distant Place"
I release myself
     from myself.

I fly above the storms and the turmoil
and float on the clouds of LOVE.

It matters not what idea of
     GOD
you believe in.

GOD knows who He is.

He is not confused.

And when I listen to my heart,

neither am I.

As I meditate,
I levitate
my soul
to another realm....

one that is pure
LOVE.

Kacy,
I think I could afford a trip like that! But you'd have to be my travel agent. You keep refering to music I've never heard of. It is music right?

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Maybe I need to add the music file to this post!
Thanks for that kind reply, smart Chick. so glad to visit with you!
Larry, hugs. If I can find the 'How to add a music file' info sweet Mysteria gave me long ago, I'll come back and add it to this post!
It is totally awesome music.

NOAH! hello dear friend! I was sorry that I couldn't connect with you this weekend for 'Taste of Colorado' festival. Hope you had a chance to visit the music and food festival.

We still need to meet, for a poetic get-together maybe?

Lyra, yes, I've thought about that. But when I see all the misery and fighting on our planet, I have to ask myself if a nurturing mother figure would allow this to be? Then
I think about that mom who drowned her babies, and I have to aknowledge there are many females who are not kind, not gentle, and not nurturers.
So I really think if there is a GOD, he/she
is probably asexual.

Kacy/Lyra,
But Genisis says God created Adam & Eve in His image. Hmmmmmmmmm.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

OF course, that just proves my thought, if God created Adam and Eve BOTH in his image, then he doesn't separate the sexes...he is both! So He is She, and She is He.
Bi-sexual rather than asexual.
That may sound blasphemous to some people, but not to me.
But it also assumes that the Bible really IS the word of God.
Not to mention it assumes that God is real.

As long as your discusing concepts, why does god have to be have any sex at all?Why not an it?A spirit or force that transends human sexuality. At any rate I enjoyed the poem brought to mind a line or two from the christian bible"God is the author of peace not confusion".How and where we find it seems like an individual choice to me too.

Exactly. It is up to the individual. I use 'sex' references in writing simply because it is easier for most people to relate to when discussing an entity that is often perceived of as superhuman. Many people don't believe in any form of God. I know some who think they can'prove' God is a man. Others, that God must be female because he 'created' life forms. No one can prove anything to me, I just have my own feelings about the existence of GOD, the prime mover, the prima mobiler, the allmighty...whatever you call this entity. And my thoughts and ideas  have been known to fluctuate.
Thanks for reading and replying! How are things up your way?

Linda, thanks! It is interesting for me to read what others think about God, and whether or not there even is a God.
