I know this will sound trite, but it has certainly been true for me, "It is better to have loved and lost, than to have never loved at all."

With each relationship we have, we learn a bit more about ourself and what we truly need in life to bring us joy. Building a wall around your heart will prevent you from experiencing any love that may come your way. There are no guarantees in life, but love is certainly worth the gamble.

I love how you totally expose your raw emotions and bring the reader into your world.

sigh.... i've felt this before. all i can say is- bitterness is not better than sadness, and don't let some jerk keep you from sharing your love. smile
