Before the bell’s soft brassy ring
at sleep of dawn from curtains drawn.
Idle minds take to wandering
upon the trek of dew drop's lawn.

But for the burn of candle’s flick
wherein the vision came to pen
as passions brought from eyes the wick
of burn to yearn the wants of sin.

Through tireless days of waking light
where shadows danced in pleasant veil
when once they shared a soulful flight
on wings of air in flowing trail.

The highest peak of lofted hay
became the thatch of two entwined
as dusty shimmers sparkling played
beneath the glowing moonbeam’s shine.

As hearts then beat in rhythm free
in search the red of flowing rose.
Two now become one destiny
wherein the minds in dream are chose

to nest as one the tallest tree
and find the red of flowing rose.

Good to have you back,  gracing these pages
with your enchanting magic...  Did you leave
the W.S. behind?  You know that is my fave?
Don't you dare ever run out!!!!  I'll have
to have some expressed to you...

Barry

The dreams you dream
are beautiful
like river's flow
on a lazy summer night you play
within the sweet scent of hay

Enjoyed!

That does it! That absolutely does it! The next man in life is going to be a poet! Enough with all those left-brained scientific types who don't know a rose from their nose! Ha! Ha!

Mind you, they make lots of money!---Ah, who needs it! I make my own! Yep, a poet would do just fine! It's about time I got a poem written for me instead of me doing all the writing ! In all fairness though, I have received poems of love. For example:

Roses are red
Violets are blue
Linda is sweet
She tastes like champagne

(Hope he doesn't visit this site---Nah! Not a chance!)

Enjoyed YOUR love poem!

Linda (Earth Angel)

When morn does come through window nigh
and brings to birth the gleam of eye.
As whispers fall upon the ears
to bring to heart soft flowing tears.

Where but the dawn of new born day
should one be found in loving sway.
Before the rise of sun to shine..
One love of thee, one love of thine.

The pen and quill from ink to word
shall fly the night on winged bird
till morn again removes the night
A poet sits,  in thought and write.

Thanx Linda...Pleased you enjoyed.

Barry - warmness from a gentle soft heart in these words. You search deep and write them very well...

Now, Magnus, you knew I'd have to reply to your reply! That beautiful poem of love and tenderness should last me awile! I'll read it every night before I go to bed---after I slap some cream on my face and grab my Teddy-----bear, that is! Now that's a pretty picture!

Thank you so very much!
