DUCK! DUCK!
said the goose.
Or was that
the gangly moose?
I forget where I am sometimes,
but it doesn't matter,
as long as it rhymes
it hits the platter...
and someone will listen,
and maybe they'll read.
But will they take heed?
Stop hitting those ducks!
And leave the monkeys alone, too!
Stop punching the critters,
you sadistic hitters!
I'm losing my Gandhi.
Or was that my lunch?

OK, so some days
I am confused a bit?
Do I follow the peaceniks
and give them my cheeks?
Or do I fight back with venom?
(Now that really reeks.)
Oh I am hopelessly confused,
while you are amused,
but when there's critter abuse
I want to light the fuse
and send those abusers to the moon
in a runaway air balloon.

Sorry, Mahatma.
Sometimes I cannot
offer up my cheeks
for another hit.

Midnitesun,
maybe you should ease back on the Jasmine rice?
Or Duck! DUCK! Goose

Midnitesun - oh those blue ducks, I still see them at three in the morning. Me too would rather hit the tennis ball...
