Oh, mirror, mirror on my wall
Please tell me that you lie,
Because the image that I see
It surely can't be I.

I feel so young and vibrant
But that's not what I see,
Lines and wrinkles crease that face,
Is that aging woman, me?

You just reflect the packaging,
You can't see what's inside,
For I am still a girl at heart
--You say I'm old outside.

So, mirror, mirror go away,
You're not a friend of mine,
Then I'll stay young and not succomb,
To the ravages of time!

I wrote this in response to my eternally beautiful grandmother, Evelyn, gazing wistfully into a mirror.

The only mirrors I use
are the eyes of my friends...
they not only keep me young...
they keep me honest about how I really look!

(smiles) Oh Linda, I love Karilea's thoughts too, may we always look to our loved ones and relate to what they say but never worry about being the fearest one of all but rather just content of who you are and that you love yourself! (sigh) This is wonderful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Linda, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Funny,  Karilea never asks me to give her
my opinion about her looks....Hmmmm????
(Just kidding)  She is a beautiful lady...
Don't tell her I said that...

And you have written ever beautifully just
how I feel myself,  each time I look out
through these two eyes,  eyes which never
age,  just get all wrinkled around them...

I used to say that...

Within every person who is old/elderly...
There is a young person or child...wanting
to come out and play...

I still believe that,  because I have felt
it...and...I'm not that old, yet...or am I??

Thanx for a beautiful poem...

Magnus, you will never be old. I've seen men half your age (50 or so! Ha! Ha!), that are old. No, their skin may not be wrinkly, but their spirits are! Thank you for the 'letter'. It was much appreciated.
