Been down so long, looks like up to me--

Caught in a cataclysmic landslide

Slipping and sliding

Out of control on loose shale

Struggling to hold onto

A goal to reach the summit

While there is yet light

Bruised, yet not defeated,

I recover.

The dust finally clears--

There are new pinnacles to conquer,

A vast precipice...

Formidable, yet so enticing

Yes, so very inviting

I remember, now---

With God, all things are possible.

A zenith before me

Poetry is:

Jumping up and down...THAT IS ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVORITE BOOKS...it is SO my life...love the poem, the reference to a book that feels like an old friend...
