I was reading my Bible,
(So you'd guess this was fiction)
But even a Toerag,
Has a little religion.

I read about Samson,
When his hair was so long,
Then after a "trimming"
His strength was all gone.

I studied 'bout Noah,
His arc and such,
All of the animals,
And it raining so much.

Then I read about Adam,
His wife's name was Eve,
From one little rib,
Who wouldda believed!

I was on my couch,
My side started to ache,
Not being a grouch,
No complaining I'd make.

The pain was terrible,
Thought I was losing my life,
I thought for a moment,
I was having a wife!

ROFLMAO... I love this, sweets! *S*

But I'm not guilty of this pain afflicted upon your dear self... I'm a pain in the neck and/or the rear.... and okay, a tad of indigestion here and there... that's enough. *G*

Perplexed and a sufferin'
By the pain in my can
I soon was a gruntin'
And gave birth to a man

As far as your religious training goes, I happen to know for a fact that you are still wondering how Jacob could tie his ass to a tree and walk forty miles!

Toe...it's always a toss-up...do I read you for the cleverness you impart, or the repartee that comes about from your cohorts?

Ha!  Both!

You were having a wife
you should be so lucky!
with a pain in the side
it was probably a truckie

Looking for directions
to find his own way
while you read the Bible
and taught him to pay (errr pray)

You were having a wife
oh what a prediction
My dear friend, Mr.Toe
but I know this is fiction

LOL Balladeer about Jacob tying his ass to a tree... but I believe that the bible said that Jacob tied his ass to a tree and mounted it...
and then he wandered in the desert for 40 years... or maybe it was 40 days...  But I know that the "mounted" it is correct because when I was in Sunday school at age 9... we all took turns reading from the bible... and guess which passage I had to read?
There were only 2 girls in the class and I was so embarrassed that I decided that it wasn't worth all of that to learn Hebrew anyway... and I never went back...

Toe hi there this is really funny a really good riposte I love these fights, they add such a sense of fun to the forum.

You are a very good writer, mum was right when she said don't forget to read a Toe poem if you can. Wonderful, but it's a good job I didn't have another mouthful of coffee otherwise the keyboard would have been soaked.

Really laughing at 'Deer's response, onion rings? Oh really, hehehehehehe!
Love and warm stuff

That is so absolutely funny, even if I did see it coming. So was she beautiful and all?

btw, some really spooky reading: Isaiah 30 and 31 in the New International Version.

It's like recent current events being described back in Isaiah's time.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.
