I lay here in bed and tryin to sleep Wondering which of my homies is out on the street The silence of this night~almost is frightnening Gunshotz rang tha air sharp and fast like lightning But its nothing unsual to come round here In any other place it might bring fear But this is the normal of every night The bullet to catch some punk runnin for the street light But this time it rang loud in mah ears~ a little suspicous Most gun shots are revenge that tastes so delicous Still this time I hear another pop pop pop Then next I thought I heard somebody drop Sirens rang out loud awayz down tha street But somethin felt different ~this empty feelin ran deep Mah heart told me this wasn't any other bang Not just some other bitch from a rival gang In tha projects peeps fall asleep to music by tha shots Wake up the next morning to see whose bodyz out to rot But then I heard a scorching cry in my own home Then all at once a sudden ring on the phone They say mah brother'z been got~ lyin on the floor And my best friend stood eyes open wide by the door They say u could see blood spill out his head And I broke down to cry hoping he wasn't dead I was crazed~confused~cryin~lying in silence Mah ma would go crazy~she hates all dis violence Hommies rushed him to the hospital~no one comes this way Cops and saftey vehicles afta 8 stay far away But mah bloodz fate was already done~it was too late Never thought~Never imagined~what would happen this date... |
