I long for dark tranquility--
I draw the blinds to pretend.
I watch the hands of clock--tick-tock--
I long to be with you again.

I will wish my day away
should shadows prove a lover's keep--
the sun can shine another day--
I'll find another time to sleep.

You are the rest that repairs me--
night vision--startled clarity.
