Breathing Poetic Thought

When your words caress my eyes
They fill my soul with tender sighs
Then a line will draw me in
To bathe my mind in heated sin
The touch of you in this line
Flows all through me in song divine
Then a smile across the page
Will soothe the soul of sorrow’s rage

When I breathe in poets’ scent
I ponder what the line has meant
You dip your pen in heart’s ink
Transcribe words of poets’ think
Translucent thoughts are touching me
Stroke my soul with empathy
Each word fitted into its place
Etches thoughts in wordy trace

When the lines flow down in style
I gather words for my file
And label each thought, word and deed
Holding them till I have need
And then I pluck the flower so
Find within the poet’s flow
The taste of you wraps me within
Whispers tease against my skin

With your words draping over me
I find my soul can fly free

Marsha

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the earthquake wind and fire

When I read the title, I thought you'd described yourself aptly. *S* This is beautiful, Marsha. *S* You've captured the lure, the addiction... so very well. Excellent work! *S*

Mum you know I love it, now stop crowing and get back to packing, you haven't got time to be writing pieces like this. If you want to write really well try some free verse mummy dearest, you know it makes sense.

Ya have all of them in your little web,
just waiting for me to join in and
walk lightly across the strings of silken
weave,  KNOWING that somewhere within the
purest weave of silk,  still lies my little
spider friend....my Mushy who needs me to
egg her toward that edge...the edge of
write...where she attacks me...as only one's
wench can....  Come out, come out, where
ever you are?/?!!!!

Seriously darling girl.  This is one of
your utter best,  to coin your own words..
Much enjoyed....thanx...

when you pen your gift of think
dipped in deepest poet's ink
then you show the world anew
what a gifted pen can do
back by wisdom and by wit
Marsha love, you sure have it
How soft you curl your words around
to draw us in and break new ground
how well you know us all my dear
and use those words to draw us near
how well you paint your ink of think
and wrap us well in poet's link

Stunning and soft poem. IWIHWT

Thank you one and all my darling friends

I haven’t been in for a day or three
I’m sorry my friends I’ve been so busy
As Margie girl says I’ve been out shopping
I know I’ve enough but there’s no stopping
A dress with sequins was calling my name
I tried to resist but gave in all the same
So I’ve packed it into my bulging suitcase
And it’s coming with me to that place
I’ll get back in here I promise you all
But if you need me in between just call

(Offer me glitter and I’ll be back quicker)

PiPITIS its coming soon …….. I can’t wait

Love and warm stuff

The best thing about poetry is that it teases and taunts your senses, leaving you breathless one way or another...never quite fully grasping every meaning though enough to stir something inside of every reader...beautifully, and utterly wonderfully done Mushy one!

That's truly wonderful and speaks so of the poet's words and heart
