Boredom (to Loner23)

you inspired this write..

On the couch is boredom land
cannot visualize it as one stands
to be on foot is to have intent
and to sit is to become complacent
a little careless, absent, negligent
like when you let things slide
funny at high tide..you had riden the crests
and there was a smile from ear to ear
now why let boredom moor at mind's pier...

So much to learn... rework approaches
mentor some child...establish a fraternal bond
partake in a choir....sing a melody or two
think of a tune.. concentrate away from your blues..
that neglected sport..that forlorn hobby left in a drawer
can see the daylight, quench skill, feed an aura.

Physical activity gets motor neurons to fire
before you turn off the light to retire
think of all the activities you can find
as you allow other neural processes to unwind.

That's what's happening to my neurons right this minute...they are getting recharged by the constant visual interaction of words on blue pages.
