In words lies the power to change things
People will deny things for only so long
Until the words reach in grabbing reality
In a vivid situation gone so bitter

Puckering up in a bad aftertaste
The mind starts to absorb the images
Reflecting at first in the inability
To see how you can change something

Yet history is full of events
Started in the minds of a few
Who believed so hard
That one person’s mind mattered

The uniqueness of the thought process
Is to teach others of the beauty of it
Setting their minds free to see change
A dream being shared by others

The teacher opens the mind of a child
To explore the universe of knowledge
Instilling the desire to investigate further
In the independence of creating tomorrow’s society

The professor sends us deep
Into the subconscious of books
Opening the minds to the masters
In ever changing opinions to ponder

In self analysis
Good fights evil
West meets East
Darkness is overcome
By pure brilliance

In a unique ways of thinking
We graduate so pumped up
Your adrenaline flowing so
To improve things tremendously

To only then hit the reality of a brick wall
I bleed for you in the gouges of my scars
The pain in my heart aches for you
In the acidity of this world
Eating away dreams of change

My power to be heard
Is in the hearing of deafness
Of induced conformity

The powers to communicate
Lie in the individuality of unique feelings
Which have no way of being contemplated
In the mind of others for lack of mass media

Yet the power that lies deep in me
In such a crazed mind
Lie in the words coming together
In you

For those that taught me well
Has instilled the challenge to effect change
As long as one drop of blood flows
To renew my minds love of words

In order to effect this change
You must have a free mind thinking
With your very own thoughts
For the uniqueness within must survive

Fly free my words
Into the tears of your heart

Thought: I once thought my mind was unique enough to be listened to, now I write in the silence of trying to explain myself within the mirror of conformity; trapped within a crazed mind talking within the whispers of the winds of silence.
