Sorry to reply twice to this, but I couldn't help it. In my ignorance I didn't really know what a Tanka was, so I just looked it up and thought I'd share it with anyone else who didn't know what it was either...See..you inspired me to LEARN something today..And now we can also keep you in line counting syllables..LOL tanka n. A Japanese verse form in five lines, the first and third composed of five syllables and the rest of seven. P.S. My dictionary also says (Japanese,"short poem" from Ancient Chinese tuan ka..tuan,short+ka,song,poem) So I won't REALLY be counting syllables... Peace,love,light and happiness Tammy |
