Between the Lines

Faded

Sometimes I wonder who I am,
why I am and what will become of me.
The sting of words written
is at times worse than what is heard,
as I can read them over and over and
even if they don't ring true, they reverberate
until they take me down in their fade.

The truth is the truth
no matter through whose eyes it is seen,
no matter whose lips sound it out.
A part of me can never forget.
A part of me wishes to be able to let it go...
let it fade into the wind
that is at my back, pressing me on.

I will fade into these blue pages,
no more rhymes, no more lines of in between.
My rhythm now, will be
the sound of my heart
beating for these ears only and
the words I speak through keys
will be for my eyes only,
until my truth rises again.

M

until the beat of heart
bangs true for the owner
it cannot ring truth
for another

Sweet Maureen, when you write of
inspiration, and not disappointment,
no one can touch your talent.

and one of your greatest talents
is making friends, and making smiles.

Maureen darling heart this is exquisite, truly excellent writing. You know I love this so much, the way you paint a picture with your words is unsurpassed I love it utterly utterly love it. One of your best darling heart, I can only say its perfect.

Love and warm stuff
As always
Mushy

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the earthquake wind and fire

Maureen darling heart what is this doing so far down the page with so few replies? It must be the fault of time it was posted and definitely NOT the quality of writing because that is exquisite Bev d’Bump at your service Giving this a sisterly bumpity bump up to the top,

nakdthoughts...The first 2 lines really reached out and grabed me. I hope this isn't your last post as your words suggest...Paul

'until they take me down in their fade' I really like that line, it stood out somehow to me,
