when I read
the words he writes
I feel quiet
in my mind
as though
I were
behind the screen
watching movies
of his life
through his eyes
afraid to move
or even breathe
for fear
I'll cast a shadow
adulterate
contaminate
the beauty
of the vision
that he portrays--
letter by letter...

Hey witch, this is touching. Tender, even.

I very much, like this.

In reply to "which way do we go?", the answer was never "straight", but, "progressively forward".

and thanks to all--I feel this way about so many poets here--you are ALL included in the thought that inspired this.

this made me think of the first time you told me about
*tapping on the screen* *theres people in there*

I'll cast a shadow
adulterate

the beauty
of the vision
that he portrays--
letter by letter...

who could resist a poet
"not I" said the moth

In the space between now and then
I lost the fire, lost a friend
and Ill never be the same again
Still, I believe in the innocence
we gave away.

That's actually what I like the most about this poem ...

That it is written to whoever reads it.

The title sucked me in. The poem made me stay. I think I'll stick around a bit and read it again.

There's a lot o' people very deserving of this.

i'll be waiting for you
do exactly what you're told

This is a bit different than what I am used to reading from you, Karen...
but I enjoyed it very much and I agree with Mr.Squirrel... that it could've been written for anyone...

*sighsighsigh*
don't mind me. I'm back from lack of poetry oblivion and feeding my addiction fresh meat. I love this, Ser. Hope life is well.

You capture the power of reading bits and pieces of someone else's words beautifully here.

"Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain!!"  This is what it feels like.

Thank you.
