~* Evening Tears Won't Last Forever *~

~* Play Love Born On Angel Wings *~

Your storms won't last forever
nor will clouds forever block your sun.
Evening tears are but a blanket
softly masking times to come.

Yon fog is merely tired rain
wishing to rest upon the ground.
Raindrops on the windowsill
are heaven’s tears you’ve found.

Sad tears won't last a lifetime
as they trickle down your face
releasing pain imprisoned
soon their passage will erase.

Being alone seems like infinity,
in despair you’ll dance a while,
but love has a way before you know
singing a song that makes you smile.

Crystal winter coldness wraps the trees
barren branches stripped of green.
Yet, spring restores their beauty,
nature once again becomes serene.

Our forever only lasts as long
as our time on earth will allow,
but eternity is forever,
so enjoy your here and now.

Immortality's a human quest
we pray, someday to find.
It’s been there all along in faith of God
if we'd accept that in our mind.

The rain won't last forever,
and the clouds won't steal the sun.
Each dawn awakens sleeping dreams
into a new day that's just begun.

No, storms won't last forever
nor will clouds forever block the sun
evening tears are but a blanket
softly masking times to come.

~*~

Ahhhhh ... Sharon ... whomever you wrote this for, you can add me to your list. Just what the doctor ordered, my wisdom-filled friend. This had a lovely flow to it, and I loved the phrasing and images throughout. Beautifully written!

Best wishes and hugs,
/Kit

Sharon your rhymes are lovely...
made even more so that they are meant to comfort and lift a friend in a time of need.
A touching write of tender wisdoms and kind intentions.

In the space between now and then
I lost the fire, lost a friend
and Ill never be the same again
Still, I believe in the innocence
we gave away.

I have never seen such a beautiful poem.  How grateful am I to know such a talented poetess....I write this through tears...this is, perhaps, one of the most beautiful poems I have ever seen...truly...a Keeper of the First Magnitude, and I am sorry, that I do not have a smilie face to depict the gratitude that this poem gives me at this very moment.............................

Aw dear friend, if it's all the same with you I am putting this in my scrapbook of Ginger's poetry! Karilea isn't the only one responding through tears. This is a gift of significant power. Bless you.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Sharon not only are your words perfect to form but so very touching and meaningful.
These words come at a time when they were so very much needed to hear, to be felt......
to remind.....
They have touched me in ways I can not explain, so I will just say
Thank you.....

If I have touched one heart through my words, then I have acheived my dream...
