Did Ya see that moon last night?
It was so low and orange...
Ripe for picking...
Like so many of them come before

The view was different this time.
I seem to be above it...Love it.
I looked below to see it rise.
The waning moon in bloom

Sounds funny, I know,
Like something out of a romance novel.
The clouds tried hard to cover,.. what a joke
In vain... they looked like wispy smoke.

I don't care if it wasn't full
It was a moon that draws a howl.
Haunts the soul and draws you in.
captures your very soul within.

Yes, I saw that moon and each phase before ...tonight may be a bit
harder since it is raining
and it will be hidden behind clouds..

nicely done, Sherry

(big hugggssssss) Oh Sherry, I saw that moon last night too and just like almost everything, it made me cry thinking of my sweet Joanna and how beautiful she is and how I want her more than anything! (sigh) This is gorgeous, sweet friend, this sure made me howl, yay, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sherry, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

This is lovely - you showed me that moon, and it was just as you have described...  almost full, but looked like you could have reached out from my 21st floor balcony and plucked it out of the sky.

This deserves a few more looks.

Thank you, everyone!!! I never expected such an incredible response to this.

I took my binoculars out to the balcony of my mother's apartment where I am for a month.... and after I had a good look at the C.N. Tower straight ahead of me (we are many miles away and it looks like a toy model from our viewpoint) I turned to the left to see the moon so low and orange on the horizon.  It was beautiful and eerie.  the clouds kind of just whisped across its face and glowed all around from the light.  I am looking again tonight... hope it is another night to howl!
Thankyou again one and all.

Love, Light and Peace,
Sherry

I'm a sky gazer and mother moon calls to me. At bedtime I draw the curtains wide open  so that I am bathed in moonlight magic while I sleep.

A lovely poem.

Sherry...I too find a uniqueness of the moon.   Such a mystical orb it is....

Thanx for sharing this...
