 I whispered to a fairy At play upon green leaf A dainty elf and airy In you all children believe I hear your merry laughter All through the sleepy night And dreams that follow after Are filled with rare delight She helps each little flower To blossom and to bloom While every summer shower Contributes sweet perfume I whispered to the fiary At sleep upon the moss Please scatter bright moonbeams The whole wide world across And so perhaps tomorrow While the children roam They’ll find moonbeams to borrow Taking a pocket full to home I whispered to a fairy Dancing in the sun Please hang upon a beauty Those moonbeams you have on. Let happy children find them To scatter as they play Bright rainbow jewels behind them Along the woodsy way And drop some sparkling bangles As homeward fast you fly To leave some starry spangles A-shining in the sky I whispered to a fairy My wishes kind and wise And don’t you know she vanished Before my very eyes Poetry is: |

Dear Poetess, this is simply wonderful!! The pic with it is awesome. There are fairies at play in my garden too, mostly in the evenings under a full moon. Chris p.s. this is going into my library.Life is not measured by breaths you take, but by moments that take your breath away. |

Cher, this is a beauty, so loving and so cheerfully written of our greatest and most valuable treasure given to each of us who have the priviledge of having a child in their life... I wrote something about children a few years back...I may repost it....after I work on it a min or two.... |
