Fighting hard to keep his strength, the hero needs to be.
When evil takes us all as slaves the hero sets us free.

He fights from deep within his soul, a gift from all his heart,
And when the hero's forced to fight he always does his part.

The villain comes to conquer all, a master plan has come:
The monsters plague the free world and the villain thinks he's won.

The hero then appears and sees the evil taking place.
He turns to see the enemy - a living human disgrace.

With sword and shield the hero fights, charging into battle,
Be it on his own two feet or in a horse's saddle.

Is this hero man or myth? Is he flesh or stone?
Hard as rock yet caring as a heart he knows to crush the bone.

But what is this? Is he weak? Can he truly lose?
It's up to all who fight with him - which one will you choose?

What is life without poetry and adventure?
"Little sister" is just another way of saying "Guardian Angel"!

The hero needs to be!

This is so true!  We do need our heros.  It's up to us to choose them wisely!

Never fear
It's Balladeer
A hero and a louse,
But he's here to save the day,
(Just like Mighty Mouse)

This poem is great, very well written...

Thanks everyone. It also kinda holds true for a video game, as you decide whether the hero can win by how hard you try.

Yea... the world is full of people. Too many are either evil or neutral, not enough are good. I only hope I live up to my writings. Some call me a hero, so I write of heroes and try hard to actually be one.

(big hugggssssss) Oh Liam, you speak of so much truth in your words, sadly our world today seems to lack heroes and we need those who are inspiring and influence everyone to bring balance and harmony to many! (sigh) This is powerful, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Liam, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Too true... the world has too many villains and cowards (often the same thing) and not enough heroes nowadays.
