Hide the mice in closets in cabinets in dark
listen to their scraping quiet as you walk
then they start in little moves as you still
in your sleep it’s their moves your nightmares fill

secrets buried in the night
out of mind, out of sight
searching for the cache to stow
while you sleep and nightfears flow

nakdthoughts compute in mind
to swell the thoughts of furry find

Hurry scurry across nightmare passage.

Hide the snakes under the sofa and bed
Make them poisonous to tempt me to dead
As I wake touching cold floor with bare feet
Perhaps to a gentle fanging will greet.

hidden reptiles all the more
legless crawling 'cross the floor
beneath and over under coiled
dreams of pleasure to be foiled

nakdthoughts to rise in mind
creatured  by a slippery find

Hurry scurry across nightmare passage.

Hide all those centipedes and water bugs
Let them wiggle beneath my bedroom rugs
To crunch lightly as I walk in waking
Add delightfully to nightmare’s making.

conceal those insects segments all
crush their spirit, let them fall
beyond the dreams that bug each night
frightened by the nightmares bite.

nakdthoughts to seize the mind
in wonder each of hidden find

Crrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeepy

crunching bugs and insects under the rug...you two are master ghoulies

If I were you, I'd watch what and how late you eat at night. :smile

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Maybe you should have posted them separately then yours may have been received better as  only you can write gloominess...I think I will try mine alone..it can't hurt..
