Tonight it was different
When you called me to cry
Cause we've grown so close
That these tears felt like mine

I know how you hurt
I've felt all of your pain
The memories we've shared
Somehow all end in rain

Let me be there for you this time
When he needs someone to hit
Let me shield you from the love
Of his iron fist

You say it's not my problem
But I disagree
See, you're more than my sister
You're a friend that I need

Let me help you escape
Be the light in your night
I'll show him tough love
If he needs to fight

If all I can do
Is to listen sometimes
I'll make you feel better
Take your tears as mine

So sleep well little sister
Please know that I'm here
To comfort your sorrow
To dry Carla's tears

I love you sis!

You are a wonderful brother! I hope your sister finds a way to get out of that relationship. Hitters are losers.

There is nothing quite like
a brother's love...
Your sister is in my prayers...

You certainly are a blessing of a brother. Enjoyed your poem and I pray things change for the better for your sister. Chris

Yes Kris, I believe that you should have a good long talk with this cowardly [edit] [edit] piece of [edit]. Men(?) such as this need a little...uh,....tutoring.

Sorry, but I just can't abide this behavior.

Best of luck to your sister, my friend. She is indeed lucky to have you.

Kris-
This brought a lump to my throat and a tear
to my eye.  You are one VERY special brother
and your sister is very fortunate to have you.
You've penned this beautifully and your love
for her burns through like the flame of the candle.
Thank you for sharing this.
Hugs to you and Carla,
~Vicky
