Undelivered Love
By Larry Chadwick
For Ginger Michelle

We used to measure out our love,
As a way to prove it true.
That we loved each other more,
Than the other even knew.

I’d say I love you T-O-N-S,
In the hopes that she would know,
That my love was more than enough,
And still had room to grow.

I’d say I love you  boat loads,
And she always liked that so.
She was so adorable,
I had to let it show.

I’d say I love you train loads,
Enough to fill all the tracks.
It seemed so important,
That she should know the facts.

She said she may be broke,
But she’d barter what she had,
She offered all she possessed,
All her love for her dad.

All that love still exists,
It fills my heart each day.
But now my heart is breaking,
I can’t deliver what I have to say.

August 20, 2002 (I love you T-O-N-S baby.)

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Somehow Larry, I think all those messages get through to her, even now.

Larry - very touching indeed. Your dear one can hear your words, I'm sure she can. Be well. Chris

Larry, I know about undelivered love, even though it is a different situation.
I have a feeling she is still receiving all your love, though.

Larry:
It hurt me to read this.
Can't begin to imagine your feelings, but I have no doubt she knows and hears all you have to say.
Listen closely and you'll hear it in so many ways and you'll know!

Keep thinking *someday* because it will happen!

It always got through. Now...it just hangs in the air. I miss my baby. Thank you so much.

Lauren,
Thanks always. If only I could make somebody jealous...

Lyra,
I had to say it...that's how it became a poem. Thank you always.

You're always right. I can never argue with you, but why would I want to. Thanks for your support.

How did this get by me?  Funny about love between two people that truly love each other, it continues even after death as they were joined at the heart on earth, and someday will be again in heaven, so there is something to look forward too.  Brother, you will have tons of catching up to do wont' that be wonderful?
I know you miss her, but I sure do believe she knows that too.

Thanks for the reference to your previous poem.  I looked it up before responding here.  This poem was well delivered to Ginger, I'm sure.  Love is eternal and it helps to be reminded.  I'm sure that Ginger knew that your love for her would never end.  It is so generous of you to share this with us.

God bless you, Larry!

Hello Larry

I have no doubt that Ginger Michelle will always know the immeasurable love you have for her.  This is part of a poem I wrote a long time ago and I feel it applies to Ginger Michelle.

You are the sun behind the clouds
On a cold Winters day
You are the reason why I smile
As you chase my blues away

You are the first surprise in Spring
A beautiful vision to behold
You are the colors in my rainbow
My very own pot of gold

I'm sure your daughter was all of these things and so much more Larry.

Take care.......Sue

I'm anchored in you
