somebody's dungeon

Last night into my room
a moon beam crept
it danced on the walls
while I slept.

Dark shapes in shadow
twirling as the trees
changed the shapes
as they swayed in the breeze.

When I awakened
traces of them stayed
there on my walls
their nightly dance displayed.

Tonight I think
I'll just pretend to sleep
so I can watch this dance
as the moon beam creeps.

Touch me with your whispers,
and I'll listen with my heart.

I like this a lot, and did you know, one of my nicknames is moonbeam?

You have described this very well...reminded me of a poem I was writing one night when I was crying and a street light in the distance began to put on a beautiful light show for me....it was a wonderful experience but hard for me to describe...I still have that poem somewhere but it requires work...some practically write themselves and some are hard...James

This is beautiful, Anne... but do you really think you can stay awake?
It might be fun...

This brings to mind
the days of old
when Luna danced
with mortal souls
in fairy tales
the ancients told.

Thank You
