IF

If time were of the wayward years
And space were of the sea
If breezes sang the words unsaid
That mark a destiny
Would you have chosen then, my love,
To linger there with me

When moon arose, an orange globe
Reflecting soft delight
Illuminating moments etched
In warm and gentle night
Could this, the stage of youthful days
Turn wrong back into right

A soft guitar plucked little stars
From heaven one by one
And serenaded silver streaks
Of memories waking sun
The blissful night of Capricorn
Had swiftly come undone

If we were there once more upon
The fringe of crystal sands
I think that I could say the words
That filtered through my hands
Instead ,that night of music‘s moon
Is sifted sand in memories tune

Right place, right time.  This slipped off my tongue as I read it...and I'm serious.  Where's that book of poetry that you should have gathered up by now? My library shelf has a spot with YOUR name on it!

Elizabeth,

To linger there with me

Yes I'd be there in the dawn.
But you would not be born.

Sunshine, I have eight books accumulated, working on the ninth. I just don't know what to do with them, hehe. Collecting dust
I appreciate the thought, but how to start? Haven't had a chance to think about it
You are sweet

Sy. LOL enjoyed your poem. That would have been a 20 year serenade on the beach!
Happy Anniversary!

Elizabeth, wonderful writing once again.
The book must be on its way.

If written words were not enough, the world would echo voice
To tell you just how lovely is each cadence line of choice
You fill me with a music which can sooth an aching heart
Your rhyme and every meaning is so true right from the start

Sincerely
Rick
