I used to belive that love and lust where correctly understood
but constantly fallin' stars proove me wrong in this hood
layed back trouble brewed explaning to the world with my hand to this pen
in hopes that one of these days love shal never be mistaken again.

he said he loved you,
youre forever in his arms
to you, the same girl that relys on her lucky charms
necklace full of rabbits feet and four leafed clovers
pondering should you resist or just bend over
tales of tradigy, courrupt young hearts
tales of drive bys that hit there mark,
fear of losing, choosing fear of getting close,
whats in eatch closed hand
the unknown that drives them to that one night stand.

a victum to his game, best lose that clover
cause now that yore done, youre turns over.
met him at a party he started hittin on you,
kicked up his game just a knotch or two
got you to smile and laugh at his will
by the time the nights over hes in for a thrill
now look at youre eyes full of tears and black junk
head on my shoulder explainin youre pain
looks like youre down a few pins at the tenth frame its over.

next time you make a pass i hope you look over youre shoulder,
remember whoes always here remember who helps you through
remember whoes trust that you know is true
remember who you roll with,
whoes in youre crew,
and remember those faces that leave you in the dust
cause i dont wanna see no more, mistake love for lust.

Well stated plight of too, too many who place their faith in lucky charms and the reach of a stranger's arms

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.
