~The Secret of Tomorrow~

Where is tomorrow...
is it hidden in the shrouded mists of time
peering back at our own eyes
through mirrors of hope, sublime?

Can it be found in the realm of never
does it hide in the forbidden folds
which drape the curtained doorway
at the entrance to forever?

Can we catch a glimpse of the future
on a wispy halo round the moon
drifting through a starry night
in webs of time where truth is strewn?

Time unfolds in glossy spin
ever faster through the years
of beginnings and of endings
glazed by love and pain and tears

A time for birth, a time for death
for laughing, loving and growing
the secret of tomorrow remains...
locked away from this moment's knowing
~

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Lyra, this is a powerfully bittersweet thoughtful poem, sweet friend, I too yearn so very much to see all my dreams come true tomorrow as my past is filled with so much grief and dream of Joanna and my career so much! (sigh) This is wonderfully said, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Lyra, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Such a wise, beautiful, optimistic write...your heart is showing, Lyra and I like it!   This should be in one of those souvenir shops or Hallmark card shops framed for everyone to hang on their walls at home~

Take care,
Melissa~

"The secret of tomorrow" You write so wonderfully. Your use of language is a joy to read. The night brings out many surprises. I just don't want to sleep come the weekends, so much to read and catch up on...

Hiy dear,
Well,, simply all I can say is great. They all said the kindly words to you and I don’t know what I should say...But you know it’s a very great idea to write about the secret of tomorrow you let us think about that and ask our self what the days are hiding to us... I really love what you have written... so kind..

               Good luck

Secretlife,

Lyra,
You really don't want to know tommorow. For if you did then you would want to know the day afer that and add infinitum. All of which means it would bring you back to today.
So have a happy day today  and that will give a clue to what you would like for tommorow. Be hapy and laugh you are a gem.

Madame - good morning you little chipmunk. Wouldn't it be nice to know just a little about tomorrow, but then again would it?

Thanks so much, Nancy...
Sometimes I think it would be wonderful to see tomorrow today...but other times, I know it would probably be terrible...maybe even dangerous.

Thanks so much, Martie...
As I've gotten older...I've wondered more and more about the future, and whether or not it would be a good thing to know about...
and I've come to the conclusion that it would be great for investment purposes, but it might be frightening for everything else.

It sounds to me, like your mouse is terribly hungry...
Maybe you should feed it some cheese LOL...
You might want to invest in a new one...

Thanks so much for your wise reply, Sy...
It brought a to my face, just when I really needed one.
This morning, I was thinking back over the years... and I became very thankful that I didn't know then what the future would hold for me... because it would have ruined many of the wonderful times I've had in life...

Thanks so much, Bill...
I used to think I wanted to know all about my future... but now I realize that there is a reason that the future remains locked away from us...
I know that when I was younger, if I had seen what happened to me during the past few years... I might have run for cover.  I wouldn't have been able to handle it back then...
Thats why I'm happy not to know the future...
I think that things happen to us at times when we are able to deal with them...and usually, not before...

Lyra, I don't believe we want to know about tomorrow. It's hard enough somedays to just live in the moment.

May we all have joy in with each breath and each moment.

Thanks Marti...
I have come to that same conclusion, after many years of debating with myself about it (as if I really had a choice anyway...duh!!!)
I think I would have freaked out if I had seen my life today...from the vantage point of a 25 year old...
That is probably why the future is hidden from us until its time for us to know it.
