Worn

I’m tired.
Of the countless tears
That streak my mind
I’m sick of all the knots
That form and never dissolve
My vision blurs as I cry
Wiping at my eyes as the
Cars pass, trying to prepare
For another day of fake smiles
And meaningless chatter
I pretend to be strong
No one seeing the tears
That never seem to end
No one seeing me hiding
Silently screaming as I
Try to somehow dull the
Nerves that keep my hands
Shaking, my mind turning
No one knows my fear
As the world grows smaller
Closing in on my fighting
Hands as I try to hold
Everything up.
