I spoke too soon
I gave too soon,
that’s what they all said,
but even an hour later
I had the same opinion
and even now after almost 2 years
I stand by my words
and my love for you
remains just the same

NO, that’s not true!

now that I don’t see you anymore
it has actually grown
ten-fold and a few times more
not sure how much,
for love is immeasurable,
unfathomable in depth
infinite in numbers

I mark each day
as happy and sad
with red and blue

happy it is when I see you
though from far away
walking in easy steps
face lit with a smile
and that smile travels
right to my face
even from the distance
that you have managed to create
between the rivers of us

sad is when your shadow walks away
in hurried steps
changing the smile
into a grim nod of acceptance
of your leave

unfortunately my calendar shows
an increasing majority
of blue

and my days are spent
alone and painting
in dark shades of blue
with the occasional dots of red
when I see wonderful sunsets
and when the breeze blows
memories of you

Sudhir

Love is like that sometimes...at least you have a colorful calander.  I like the way you wrote your feelings in this sad piece.  My best to you!

That is so powerful, and so sad, yet so incredibly beautiful!

This is so sad, Sudhir...but you write with such beauty and earnestness.  Your feelings just jump out from the words.
I hope that you soon see more of the red.
~ hugs and best wishes to you
