He wants to control your thouhts,
and tell society what is right,
   and what is wrong.

Gaining in power,
   he is splitting the masses.

He wants your mind.
She wants your soul.
But most of all...
   they want your vote.

Maybe their right.

Save me from myself!
Big brother watch out for me!
What I'm I suppost to think?

God of the Machine,
   telling me what I can
   and can not dream.

A Pandora's box
opening up the soars of sociaty.

Praying on the wants of the confused.

"What you want security?"
"Thats easy, I can give you security."

Dancing on the backs
  of the ignorant.

Lord of lords
   ruler of the weak.

King of politics, President of the mindless,
   whipes away the "sinners"
   with the fabric of freedom.

Oh God, you gather the lost,
weld them, build them, make them conform
   into your perfect machine.

God of the slums, sitting on a broken thrown,
with your crown of I.V. needles.

God of sh-t.

Deus ex machina.

God of the Machine.

are your homonyms part of the essence of 'confusion' of which you speak?

This has a very strong voice, but the god of the machine certainly is a little 'g' god, not a capital God. So yes, he has only his own selfish desires at heart.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

"On his knees his blank eyes gaze lovingly at the picture before him.He had won the battle with himself. He now loved Big Brother".From the book "1984".
