somebody's dungeon

In rememberance comes pain
tears in drops like rain,
a gray sort of feeling
waiting for the healing.

The heart is not ready
the thoughts too heavy,
to give up their hold
until the story's told.

Again and again
the movie plays on end,
romance glorified
While I am horrified.

Forgetfulness won't come
I guess it does for some,
instead a specter haunting
incessant in it's taunting.

I beg for lapse of thought
just a moment soft
in peace without the cry
let this memory finally die.

WhiteRose

Touch me with your whispers,
and I'll listen with my heart.

Very true and very much enjoyed. Chris

I feel the sadness and pain of this one. You know where I am.

Hello Anne

I could feel the pain and sorrow through your words and I guess some things we just can't block out of our mind, they keep resurfacing.  I hope you are okay.

Take care....Sue

This was a wonderful piece and all I could think about when I was reading it was September 11th.

Some things we just can't forget.

Dixie, I'm still there. Remembering, though the thoughts are now faded and few. Thanks for the *bump*
