You wrapped me in paper glass,
the ripple words of sea.
The ocean waves reflected touch,
its facet hands of soaking sand.
Lifted me like coal of coast
and sank me to the bottom.
I could see the underside
of storms unmarked, unsaid.

Left among the black below
of beauty stars long dead.
I could see the showing seams,
still moonlight suspended.
A shimmer shiver wave or two
or three or four hundred.
Cast away to find the tide.
I left it there instead.

You DO have the sea within you, don't you?

Loved the silvered purple swell and surge.

I lost the fire, lost a friend
