POnd of Dreams

I stand beside a sky of billowy white
Edged in sunsets tint of ruby light
Reflecting in the waters made of dreams
That pour desirous words from sparkling streams
And in the mirror of the sinking sun
It’s you, in flowing dreams, the waters come

I sit beside the silent pond of tears
Where silver beams caress a lover’s fears
In stillness of the twilight, put to rest,
In shades of indigo upon its crest
The most enchanting thoughts of which I’m fond
It’s you I see in deepness of the pond

I’m there beside a million twinkling eyes
That fall down from the darkness of the skies
And settle on the pond with mirrored beam
Each begging to be maker of a dream
Suspended in the sky, but now on earth
It’s you I see, my dream of greatest worth

So near I am to touch the joy of love
So far from those celestial eyes above
Who now sit by my side in soft repose
And offer you to me in gentle glows
With open palm I touch the starry sea
In rippled waves they float away from me

This is very well done, spoken well by one who knows these dreams.

Thank you.

Every stanza is so perfectly done it could stand alone as a complete piece, yet they make a wonderful grouping of statements of devotion and longing.

Very nice!
