Lessons

Sometimes the depth of passing strife
Can touch a heart in such a way
That all the seasons of our life
Can barely heal a single day

A pain that’s lived throughout the years
Is equal to no other trial
When joy is reason for our tears
And grief the basis of a smile

So deeply touched, so cruelly dealt
So evident the hidden scar
The spirit laughs at pleasures felt
And weeps at moments from afar

There is no other lesson learned
More bittersweet than joy that’s earned

So true, so true. Elizabeth, this is wonderful and going into my library. Chris

Amazing, how do you do it?  Pack such a wallup in so short of verse.  Very thoughtful words.

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Elizabeth, this is so very true, while we all may cry and have aches in our hearts, we too are blessed to surmount them for we only grow stronger and richer in His love! (kiss on cheek) God Bless You, sweet friend, your words speak with such true wisdom, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Elizabeth, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Why you little epopeer you! Boy did I get a real lesson today, and you know Liz these lines read out loud by me, sounded almost as good as when you read them to me today. (((huge hugs for the epopeer)))

The most valuable thing you own is a smile, wear it, and share it.

If I didn't know one thing about you, this poem would still touch my heart. *S* Knowing at least a bit of what you're going through, knowing how many harsh lessons life has dealt... just makes it more special. *S* This is excellent, Elizabeth.
